YEAH ! WHOOPEE !!!!! HALLELUJAH !!!! November Meeting Welcome Back !!

The faithful as always were at our First Wednesday of the month meeting AND some Old timers that got lost through the year.  hahaha
It was great to see everyone and what they were working on.
Above is what I think is one of Susie's projects.

And this is Janet's.  Janet is laying her's out a little differently.  Putting a black strip between the four parts of the block and in between the blocks.  One block, yet so many ways to change it up and not just in the fabric choices.

There is always a rush of catching up

or jumping on your project.  Lorraine got her quilt back from Susie and was squaring it up.
Love the colors on this

and the dragon fly motif that Susie put into the quilting.

Fun to look around the room and see how many different types of skills our ladies possess.

Machelle is working on embroidery

Deb crocheting

Janet sewing her blocks

Lorraine finished squaring up and started on adding the binding

Carol also had binding to get going on

Isn't he an adorable hunk?  Juanita is working on this collage of Kansas' mighty buffalo.
If you want to see more quilts like this, check out here  , or here, or here to see a how to from a quilt shop.

Juanita also brought in a wool applique project to work on.

Susie is getting closer and closer to finishing the grandmothers flower garden project that she thinks she started around  2016 / 2017 / 2018 ?  Ha ha - she just knows that it is time to finish it.  Good luck Susie.

Know how the chairs in our meeting room just about kill you?  Well Susie found this chair and got it for a good price.  It is higher up, straight back and worked great besides being a very interesting design aspect.  Several suggested that she had to show it to Frances B.

Show 'n Tell after lunch was short, but then it was Magnifico!!!!  Look at the quilt that Janet brought in.  Susie thought about 10 girls worked on this BOM for about 3 1/2 years and just about everyone has finished theirs now.  Janet said she got a little help.  Whatever!  It is beautiful.  Look back in our archives and you can see what some of the others did.

You can click on the picture and make it come in larger to see the twilling and the quilting.  Susie quilted it.

Vevia brought in a picture of an elephant that the President at the Manhattan quilt guild had gotten on her trip to Tanzania, Africa.  It is made out of a man's shirt utilizing the front placket with the buttons - which makes it possible to open up and put in toys, treats, pj's, etc.  This is the elephant that Vevia made from one of John's shirts.

Then everyone was back to work.  Happened to notice a date on the embroidery that Machelle was doing.  She stated that she had decided to put down the date she STARTED this project so she could keep track of how long it takes her.  Great idea Machelle - well, maybe on some projects.  hahaha

Vevia had seen a caddy that Winnie at the Piotique Quilt Guild had for her sewing tools by her machine - and decided to make enough so that everyone could have one.  This picture is of the one that Deb picked AND put to work already.  Thank you for the picture Deb.  Looks so organized now.

Good to see everyone and wow, it has been since January that we got pictures.
Hope you all enjoy........know I did.
Missed the camaraderie - Have a joyous Thanksgiving.
