Oct. 3rd - Small but mighty

Thank you always to Susie for having the room open and the A/C on.  It was a little stuffy in there, but perfect by the time everyone showed up.
Janet and Lorraine were having fun by the looks of their smiles.
Janet was twilling
Lorraine sewing down her binding.

Machelle and Jan were catching up on all that had gone on since we last saw Jan.
Miss her when she is gone.
Hear tell we pick on Machelle more when Jan doesn't show up.
So?  How was it Machelle? hahaha
A great big THANK YOU to Jan for bringing those donuts in.  Some of us did indulge.

Machelle was working on her project from the Lynn Doyle workshop held with the Piotique Quilters Guild of Clay Center.

Lisa was sewing on binding and Susie was Apliquick-ing©™ some beautiful flowers.
Susie reminded featherweighter's of the on line shop - featherweightshop.com

We did do a lot of talking of quilting, shops and hops.  Whether in Alden, McPherson, Newton, Hutchinson, or going to sew groups at Golden Vista's in Apache Junction, Ariz.  Everyone has some favorite memories and stories to tell.

After lunch everyone went over the Strip scrap project that is planning to start in 2019.
Maybe it will be a block exchange so everyone can work at home as well as at the meetings.
Definitely 8" blocks and Susie is going to start cutting some thin muslin she has for the foundations.
Everyone needs to have 144 blocks to make the quilt as seen.  Different widths of strips, lights and darks.  If you are interested, please get with Susie for the pattern.

"Show 'n Tell" was a little sparse, but we did get to see the quilt that Lisa was putting the binding on.

See you all next month - have fun and get a lot done for Show 'n Tell.
