Wasn't quite sure if the weatherman was telling us rain at 2 pm or rain at 4 pm. Skies gave no hint, but we braved the possible to get what time in we could.
Susie brought in her Apliquick to get as many grapes done as possible. That's those little circles you see in the bottom left of the picture. Click on picture to have it come in larger.
She's making the block that the arrow is pointing to.
Lorraine was working on her rail fence basket weave quilt. She's going to try a new technique on the squaring up part, looking forward to finding out how that works.
By now, Deb should have this quilt that we made her. Everyone got a chance to either work on it putting the blocks together, cutting, pressing, etc. And then quilting and binding and label. Joint effort and it is gorgeous.
For those of you that were not able to be with us - this is the label,
and this is the quilting.
Great job everyone. We're all holding Deb up in prayer for Tuesday and Esther for Wednesday.
Machelle has been bringing in these two embroidery designs to show me and we finally got to see them. Aren't they something? You can go HERE to see more. Thank you Machelle for coming across some cool steampunk items - well to me anyway.
Juanita got a chance to drop in and see us also. She brought her wool ironing pad, so we got to see one of those up close and personal. HINT - do not use steam.
Course we were all interested in how Machelle is doing with her "Dear Jane" blocks. We think she is doing awesome.
Had a few questions - like how does it come? How often? How many at once? Don't you just love bombarding someone with questions? hahahahaha The package shown here is how it comes with the fabric and all ready to go.
I brought in my small basket weave rail fence doll quilt, for those that had not had a chance to see it yet.
And this decorated tray. I picked up the wooden tray at the Manhattan guild, off the free table. It worked perfectly for putting in this small quilt and hanging it in the bathroom for spring. Reminds me every morning to enjoy this day - the others will take care of themselves.
Have a blessed month!
See you all in June.
